Our first concert fundraiser, Athena Arena, at Heff's in the Mall of Abilene on June 28th was a total success. We raised $1200 for the museum. These funds will go towards opening the museum and creating exhibits.

All the performers were amazing: The Daughters of Wanda, Cassidy Sooter, Lively, and Outta the Blue. Marnie Boyers of Outta the Blue almost had me in tears when she mentioned driving by the future Women's Music Museum when she is older and knowing that she was part of our first concert fundraiser. I feel like this future is pretty close thanks to all these wonderful artists dedicating their time to the museum's cause.

Thank you to Brenda Heffernan for use of Heff's for the event and to Walter Hamilton for providing sound and lighting for the event.

Thank you to all the artists who dedicated their time and talents to make such a wonderful show come to life. Without their efforts, there would have been no show and I appreciate them all so much.
